Why I Joined RentReporters:

I am a credit nerd. In fact, one of my goals is to have a perfect score, and I have past along this desire to my grown children. We all know that without a good score, you can become lost in life since your credit score impacts everything – it even determines whether or not you can buy a home and what interest rates you get on a loan.

I am always trying to learn new ways to improve my score, and when I found out that I could have my rent payments reported, that was really exciting to me. I did some research, looked at several companies, and decided that RentReporters was the best company to work with.

My daughter signed up first. She wanted to buy her first home, and as a young adult, she didn’t have much credit history. After joining RentReporters, her score went up by 40 points, and that increase really helped her. In fact, she recently closed on her first house! So, I signed up as well, and in about 2 weeks, my score went up by 18 points!

After Joining RentReporters:

I look at my credit all the time, at least once a week. I’m very aware of my credit utilization and know to keep it below 30%. In fact, keeping it as low as 10% is even better. I pay my bills on time, dispute errors on my credit reports, and am always reading about and finding new ways to improve my credit. RentReporters helped to increase my score, and it’s also great to have my rental payments reported for a diversified credit portfolio.
