Why I Joined RentReporters:
I was in a pretty bad car accident – my car was totaled and I had to take medical leave from work. I decided I needed to do something to improve my credit score because if I didn’t, I would not be able to get a new car.
Unfortunately, my credit score was pretty low since getting divorced and making some bad financial choices. Also, before I started my credit journey, I didn’t really understand how credit works and what I needed to do to build and improve my score.
I started doing a lot of online research, joined a credit group, and read a number of articles and books, including Smart Money Secret. In that book, RentReporters was mentioned. I didn’t know that reporting my on time rent payments could improve my credit score. So, I called RentReporters, signed up, and in less than 30 days, my score improved by 110 points!
After Joining RentReporters:
With my new and improved score, I was able to get a new car! And now that I have a better understanding of how credit works and what I can do to maintain my score, I am focused on cleaning up my credit, paying all my bills on time, and staying on top of what’s in my credit report.
My Experience with RentReporters:
I tend to ask a lot of questions, and Lawrence of RentReporters answered all of them. Working with Lawrence has been great – he kept me updated on each step, like when he called my landlord, when my payments would be reported to TransUnion, and when I could expect to see a credit score increase. His proactive communication really put me at ease, and for me, that’s really important, especially when dealing with something as personal and important as your credit.
Most people don’t understand credit – it’s something you start to avoid when you have bad credit. RentReporters made the process easy, and they were able to help me get the results I needed. Now, I just want to know more and more about credit and what I can to continue to improve my score!
