Why I Joined RentReporters:

My landlord approached my husband and me to see if we’d like to buy our rental. We wanted to purchase it, but first, I knew that if we wanted to get a good rate on a mortgage, I would need to improve my credit score.

So, I started to do a lot of research and found that adding tradelines, like your rent payments, to your credit report can help increase your score. I did further research on this and came across RentReporters. I was impressed by the positive reviews and decided to sign up.

In about seven days, my score increased by 35 points, and today, my score is close to 700!

After Joining RentReporters:

Now that my credit score has increased, I’m receiving offers for credit cards that I’ve never been approved for before. I even got am American Express card, and I’m very excited about it because it’s the card that everyone works toward. I’m also receiving offers from insurance companies that normally would not have looked twice at me.

Life is definitely moving in a positive direction. I’m starting my own business, completed my DBA, and my website is up and running. Later this summer, my husband and I will start looking into mortgages so that we can buy our home!
