Privacy Commitment to You: When you sign up for our service, we ask for personal information to identify and contact you. We don’t see your credit report.
We value you – our customer – and take seriously your privacy rights and concerns. That means when you sign up for our service, we only ask for personal information to identify and contact you. Nothing more. We don’t see your credit report. We don’t have access to your credit report. That’s private information between you and the credit bureau.
We are consistently working to improve your experience with RentReporters and have taken steps to ensure that our customer sign up process is quick and easy, while also being respectful of your privacy.
During the sign up process, we will ask for your social security number, as it is required to report your on-time rent payments as a tradeline to TransUnion, one of the three major credit reporting bureaus. We do not ask you to provide your credit reports and will not request to do a credit check. This is your private information, and as such, we do not know and will not ask your credit score or history.
As our customer, you continue to pay your rent. It gets reported to the credit bureaus just like any other debt repayment – like a credit card or student loan payment. And our experience has shown that your score will most likely improve – within a very short period of time
We believe that changing your credit score is not just about changing a number. It is about creating a path from a world that was once life limiting to one that can be life changing. And together, we can help you get there.
